Nowadays atmost all cricket matches coming to tv sets, means after launch of sports18, we are able to see cricket matches (even minnows) in tv sets.
And disney / sony not interested in digital rights, giving digital rights to fancode and happily broadcasting the match in tv

It is the reverse bro, Fancode has both the digital and satellite rights of many sporting properties and TV broadcasters are entering syndication agreement witj Fancode for some of these series/events thereby getting to air these in their sports channels

Also TV broadcasters are inturn also having agreement with Fancode wherein sports properties whose digital rights r with these broadcasters, these r being shared/provided to Fancode.

This is a great arrangement wherein all parties r saving money by not bidding for all events thereby not only keeping rights acquisition costs lower and later having a partnership to share the rights amongst them. In future as digital or broadcast rights of all sports properties get more costlier we will more such deals being signed and we viewers will get to see wide selection of sports being aired on both sports channels and OTT platforms :)
