Thanks for sharing this update anna. So all the members / people who were wanting to watch the FIFA World Cup matches in HD, their demand/request has been addresed with this option being available. All the customers interested in 4K streaming surely would be having access to good internet connectivity and Smart Box of some DTH or Cable operator / Fire TV Stick so just download Jio Cinema app and watch FIFA World Cup in 4K that too for "Free"....can't be a better deal than this :)

I had infact earlier written to Viacom18 senior officials and had requested that FIFA World Cup 2022 should be made available in 4K either thru Linear TV mode (service channel) or via Digital/Internet Mode (Jio Cinema) across hybrid boxes of different operators / Amazon Fire TV Stick / Smart TV sets etc. May be initially they would have decided to provide streaming via Jio Cinema only on mobile devices but later expanded the availability across to various other Big Screen / Connected TV devices. Although it may cause some dip in TV subscription of Sports18 but in the long run would prove to be greatly benefiting for building a strong subscriber base for their digital platforms which is where niche events r likely to get maximum viewership from in near future.... Also alongside they can even attract mass audience to come & sample content on the platform thereby gaining a momentum in OTT space & effectively competing against major rival platforms. Also soon Jio Cinema and Jio TV may be available to all people rather than just Jio Users, just like Airtel XSream App, Tata Play Binge App & Watcho App subscription can be taken by all people

@vicky1213 bro 4K streaming is available on Tata Play Binge boxes so it would surely b available on Airtel Xstream Smart Set Top Boxes too...u can recheck the same
 
i add sport18 1HD on tata play using whatsapp chat. Channel visible but amount not deducted & not shown on subscription channel list in app. It may be free preview?
