Baahubali 2 is coming to your nearest theatre screens next year to finally put an end to the crucial mystery revolving around ‘Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?’ and are just plain excited. The official logo of Baahubali 2 was released yesterday and director SS Rajamouli shared it on his official Twitter account. The official logo of S.S Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion , the second and final part of the franchise, was released with the tag line “Why Kattapa Killed Baahubali”. And for all those who have been eagerly waiting to see the film, here’s something special for you. Amazon Prime Video along with SS Rajamouli, Graphic India and Arka Mediaworks, has announced a partnership to extend Baahubali into a new multi-episode animated series which will be titled ‘Baahubali: The Lost Legends’.
‘Baahubali: The Lost Legends’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video India in 2017, online reports suggest. Amazon has yet not announced when its video-streaming service will launch in India but is gearing up with the announcements of tie-ups with several content creators and production houses.
According to Nitesh Kripalani, Director and Country Head, Prime Video India, “S.S. Rajamouli is one of the most visionary movie minds in current times and we are thrilled to have him launch this exclusive series, Baahubali: The Lost Legends. The animation series will allow our customers to discover hidden stories and legends from the Baahubali world. And now for the first time, customers can watch the exclusive trailer first on SS Rajamouli's Baahubali to be turned into an animated series! - Bollywoodlife.com”.
“What we managed to showcase in the film was just the tip of the iceberg. From the minute I started working on this story, I knew the world of ‘Baahubali’ can’t be encompassed into a film or two, simply because there’s so much more to tell and animation is another way to do that. We are happy to be collaborating with Graphic India and Amazon to bring the ‘Lost Legends’ to audiences through Amazon Prime Video,” Rajamouli said. But will the animated version of the film will be an equally delightful experience to watch? Let’s see..
As far as the film is concerned, the critically acclaimed film maker is yet to give finishing touches to Baahubali 2 . “We will wrap up the shoot by December. Some scenes and two songs are pending as of now. The film will release on April 28, 2017,” Rajamouli told reporters. He also revealed that on Friday the teaser of “Baahubali” animation series will be launched on Amazon Prime. The first look of Baahubali 2 , according to Rajamouli, will be released on the eve of actor Prabhas’s birthday on October 22. The film also stars Rana Daggubati , Sathyaraj, Tamannaah Bhatia and Ramya Krishnan.
