Television broadcaster Star India, which is now owned by the Walt Disney Co India, posted a net profit of `1,395 crore on a standalone basis during financial year 2020-21 (FY21) against a loss of `85.61 crore in FY20, according to the company’s filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

Profit because there were no ICC events and BCCI cricket during FY 21 vs FY 20? If so, then it is interesting that how Star will retain all 3 properties (ICC, IPL, BCCI).

That's not reason. Their revenue decreased because there were no icc and bcci events. Profit because they decreased their expenses.

Plus due to covid so many stage events, shows, auditions etc cancelled. It also contributed reducing expense. During this fiscal Star sports didn't went for any mass acquisitions.
