The channel is also expected to move shows around further to fill the 2:00pm gap. ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’, which sits in the 2:30pm slot could possibly move to 2:00 pm to ensure the 12:30pm – 2:30pm timeband remains original.
Despite a band of Creative brains working relentlessly in its Studio division under the leadership of Mr. Gaurav Banerjee and strategizing the content plans for Star India’s channels, the division has failed to deliver in its attempt to build the afternoon time band under the Star Plus dopahar plans that has seen even the Indian adaptation of popular turkish show ‘Fatmagul’ titled ‘Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka?’ failed to deliver.
Industry sources also reveal that Star Plus will be dismantling its Dopahar as already it has moved one of its show Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji to replace Saathiya.
Nothing is permanent especially when it comes to the entertainment industry!
Another shocking development going to take place on Star Plus soon! Buzz was doing rounds about the channel pulling the plug on all its afternoon shows.
The shows have been doing quite well and gaining love and appreciations from the audience but sadly, the channel had to take a final call on the fate of the shows undergoing through major programming changes.
Tellychakkar.com has learned that all the show will wrap up on the coming 30 September.
Our source informs us that the marketing strategy behind launching the afternoon slot didn’t work in favor of the channel that’s why the final decision has been taken.
When we contacted Alchemy Films' producer Siddharth P Malhotra, he told us, "Yes we have been officially told that the entire band is shutting..its unfortunate but it's not about one show it's a larger call and everyone has to take the hit!"
Kya Qusoor Hai Amla Ka's producer Bhairavi Raichura too confirmed the news with us.
