This move kind-of points to where the DTH world is leading to. While ADTV might be trying to win it's customers' confidence since it goofed up activation of the new packs selected by users, I think the larger message is clear- Very few people will pay exorbitant prices for single channels. Eventually, DTH player will provide such free previews during important/match days, or broadcasters will bend (highly unlikely) and reduce the price of channels.
