To grow the appeal of the league among families and kids Star India will have Super Sundays, where the Sunday matches, opening and closing matches will be aired across Hindi and regional language movie or mass entertainment channels apart from regional sports channels. The aim is to grow a second layer of audience. The report further noted that the broadcaster is planning to get kids on the commentator panel on Sundays.

The Sunday matches will be aired on Star Gold (Hindi), Vijay Super (Tamil), Maa Movies (Telugu), Star Suvarna (Kannada), Jalsha Movies (Bengali), Star Pravah (Marathi) and Asianet Plus (Malayalam). Regional sports channels in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Bangla (to be launched ahead of IPL) will carry matches on all days.

As if airing cricket highlights thru the day across all their sports channels was not enough irritating, now they will block slots on regular channels too for earning more money. Sony is million times better than Star, they give proper weightage to different sports. Making profit is fine but compromising viewer satisfaction and just driving on the former is a recipe for disaster. Believe me Star Channels will be most -vely impacted under new tariff regime due to high pricing and poor content path they r going on

What Star is guilty of in sports, Sony is guilty of in Hindi movie channels.

Very bad Move .. as they now have dedicated Sports Channel in regional languages so why to show on GEC Channels :undecided: Only Marathi n Malayalam would have been enough as they don't have dedicated Sports Channels :dodgy2:
