It can be set manually, but default is 005 for HD box.
They should set landing channel based on subscription pack, if possible.

even today in interior villages and even in some small towns there's most people, watch only sun TV they even don't say it's cable they ask for sun TV irrukka even in towns i saw people who runs a small kirana shop or tea stall there's a small TV with sun TV serials running from morning till closing the shop,it's also a main reason sun TV doesn't do anything like a new age fiction shows or game shows. For a last decade they didn't change any format in there presentation. There change is Sunday that most of people watch movies. also there's a program kalayanamalai which airs only on Sunday morning it's on his 970th episode my mom's headmistress she doesn't watch serials but she doesn't miss this show for past 20 years. So that's the reason they don't wanna change their programming style.

Pending channels of BIG4 are likely to get added over time.
ZEE, TV18 is not pushing some channels to SUN it seems, due to poor presence of SUN in some areas, like regional news channels.

Few days before when I was travelling in office cab near Pattabiram, Chennai, one wire was their in between the road at low angle due to heavy rain on that day.since the place was dark, I don't know what the wire was(assuming that as a current line). Then, afterwards driver said that it's a Sun TV connection wire sir.😙🤗
