MUMBAI: Sun TV is set to replace its afternoon
show ‘Ilavarasi’ with a new show called
‘Thamarai’ on 3 November.
‘Ilavarasi’ will complete its 1,250th episode on 1
November, following which the channel will shift
it to the afternoon slot of 1:30 pm from Monday
to Saturday.
The storyline of ‘Thamarai’ deals with the
emotions, dilemmas and conflicts every middle-
class household faces and the consequent
friction arising within the relationship.
Under the guidance of Radaan Mediaworks
creative head Radikaa Sarathkumar, the writer
and the director have focused on several
nuances of the story.
The show stars Aswin, Neelima Rani, Sailatha, T
V Varadharajan, L Raja, Papitha, Sai Prashanth,
MJ Sriram, Swapna, Sambhavi, Sahana Sridhar,
Rani, Jeyram and Nirosha in pivotal roles.
