The channel that made revolutions in Malayalam television industry.
The channel once always threatened Asianet with much contents and movie premieres.
The only channel that gave tight fight to Asianet in each time slots, every program genre, type of serial and movies.
The one and only channel captured #1 spot from Asianet in barc tables.
Unfortunately they lost their legacy. Old Surya TV gone somewhere about 6-7 years ago.
Now they struggling to stay in top 5. Hope Surya TV will bounce back

One of my favourite channel
Remembering that childhood days entertainment which only with Surya tv shows, moves and serial.
Unfortunately, the new channels entry like Mazhavil Manorama and Flowers reduced their ratings .
Last lockdown helped them to achieve top 1 position after long years of time .Now they are trying to catch their audience back. But almost people already stick with Asianet shows and serials . As of now ,only movies helping them to keep atleast a fifth position. Hope they will bounce back soon

Congratulations Surya TV, one of the classic Malayalam channel. Launched in the year 1998, Surya TV was a quality Malayalam channel from Sun Network. It was also a competitor to Asianet during its yester years. They also have a good collection of Malayalam movies.

In recent years, Surya TV has completely lost its charm. After the launch of channels such as Mazhavil Manorama and Zee Keralam, Surya TV is completely out of the race. During lockdown period in 2020, it had become the number one Malayalam channel by telecasting only movies. Well, it again lost its position after everything was normal.

Sometimes, the channel will be out of top 5 channels list. If they seriously work on their content, they can regain their position i.e, at least third or second position.
