I received a call from tataplay explaining few recharge offers. The executive told me about 222 cashback on 2222 recharge and 333 cashback on 3333 recharge along with the usual semi-annual and annual recharge offers. The 2222 recharge offer stood out. The executive told me, along with the cashback I would get 1 year additional warranty on STB as well as 1 year warranty on service visit.
The offer seemed nice, I checked with the chat support later but didn't get any certainty about the warranty part. I recharged few minutes before the end of the day and received cashback immediately but warranty wasn't added by then. Immediately contacted chat support and the executive couldn't get any information hence raised a ticket. Messaged tataplay on twitter for which they raised another ticket.
Luckily, I got the additional warranties next morning (6th June), even before receiving a call back from twitter team. This additional warranty made the cashback offer compelling enough to recharge. Coincidentally I faced a signal issue yesterday, for which the technician came and fixed it yesterday itself free of cost thanks to the service visit warranty otherwise I would have been charged visiting charges.
