I feel to save money they are completely removing Dolby certification or any mention of Dolby in the box or UI..this started with Navya box

Seems like more cost cutting measures adopted for this new box - No separate ports for AV Cables rather this box has 3.5 mm port for AV cable like d2h provided in its earlier boxes....also AV Cable will npt be provided by Tata Play...... CAM port not available and in USB port itself one would be required to attach USB CAM card if and when required

Also Dolby Audio feature again missing in this New Variant of HD Box

Look is hybrid ... slim and elongated like skyworth box and plastic like navya box ..another cost cutting!..skyworth box was metal build

Also I don't understand how much it will cost for metal build, here scrap iron sold at ₹8 per kg

So they can easily use metal box which is recyclable than plastic build

Buddy still when produced in quantity of lakhs then each penny saved on individual box counts as when we multiply it with high volume then money wise it does make a difference.....more so in current scenario for Tata Play whatever little can be saved at various fronts it can help lower losses

Don't expect Dolby Atmos in HD Stbs now..The features are only provided in Hybrid Stbs or so on hereafter .
It all because of Cost cutting in manufacturing.

Being number one dth company, why tata play is reluctant to launch new hybrid box keeping in view the outdated hardware and laginess in Binge Plus set top box . Anyone having information regarding it kindly update.
