Direct-to-home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has added 12 channels to its offering.
As many as 10 of these channels are in the regional space, while the other two are English and Hindi channels.
The additions have been made with effect from 23 April.
The new channels include Bhojpuri GEC Anjan TV, Kannada news channel Raj News Kannada, Bengali news channels CTVN AKD Plus and Calcutta News, Odia news channel News World Odisha, Assamese GEC Jonack TV, Hindi news channel LTV India, Bengaluru-focused English news channel News 9, Tamil News channel Raj News Tamil, Tamil spiritual channel Madha TV, Tamil news channel Sathiyam TV, and Kannada music channel Public Music.
Tata Sky had earlier added TV18’s three newly launched regional news channels, namely News18 Tamil Nadu, News18 Kerala and News18 Assam/NE.
The DTH operator now offers 400+ standard-definition (SD) channels and services.
Tata Sky also strengthened its high-definition (HD) bouquet by adding as many as 12 HD channels in April.
These included Star Jalsha HD, Star Jalsha Movies HD, Romedy Now HD, Baby TV HD, Da Vinci HD, NGC People HD, Travel XP HD, Mazhavil Manorama HD, MTV Indies HD, VH1 HD, Nat Geo Music HD and Naaptol HD. Currently, Tata Sky offers 71 HD channels and services.
