Comcast has bought majority of Sky Share from Fox Comcast Buys Sky Stake From 21st Century Fox

So now star and sky are not same :)

No wonder if Tata Sky has issue with Star Network in near future as well, OMG
It's somewhat complicated but let me explain,
Tata Sky us a joint venture of Tata and 20th century Fox, Fox has right to use Sky brand name at the time. So officially now Sky has nothing to do with TS after bid from Comcast.
But still Fox has 39% stake in Sky.
So now Fox-Disney merger in progress and it's positive.
Disney owns ESPN again joint venture with Sony for Sony ESPN.
Sony ESPN was removed by TS(in which they had 50% stake from Disney(Bigg Boss))
Its somewhat complicated for now. But after the merger deal completion everything will sort out.

If Sky name problem Comes for TS, Fox would change the name to something else for example: Tata Star ,Tata Fox ,Tata Disney

Sky branding is given my Sky International AG, which is a independent company owned by 21CF before and Comcast Now. So they can still use it as they have a deal with Sky PLC

Its the Sky PLC which i was talking about

Sky plc[4][5][6][7] is a pan-European, British media and telecommunications company headquartered in London. It has operations in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain. Sky is Europe's biggest and leading media company and largest pay-TV broadcaster, with 23 million subscribers and 28,123 employees as of 2018.[3][8]

Initially formed in 1990 by the equal merger of Sky Television and British Satellite Broadcasting, BSkyB became the UK's largest digital subscription television company. In 2014, after completing the acquisition of Sky Italia and Sky Deutschland, the merged company changed its name to Sky plc.[9] Sky is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. It had a market capitalisation of approximately £18.75 billion (€26.76 billion) as of 2015.[10]

Prior to 2018, Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox owned a 39.14% controlling stake in the company;[11] on 9 December 2016, following a previous attempt under News Corporation that was affected by the News International phone hacking scandal, 21st Century Fox announced it had agreed to buy the remainder of Sky, pending government approval. As of July 2017, it has been subject to government review. The Walt Disney Company announced in December 2017 that it would, in turn, acquire 21st Century Fox, including the Sky stake, but Comcast successfully won a bidding war over the company, with Sky to be delisted in November 2018.

Yeah so Comcast now owns 75% of Sky. The deal was between TS and Sky to use the brand/logo. Ownership of sky has changed but the company remains same. So there wont be changes in the name.

If depends upon how they Pay to Sky now with Fox exit, if tata thinks Sky is asking more than it deserve, then sky might get out of it. Because earlier it was like sister concerns and now separate entities.
