gssran bro... IR is a old file transfer method used before Bluetooth became popular. Nowadays all mobiles are equipped with BT, So IR almost became extinct. I am sure u would know this, but just a recap.

Coming to ur question, IR port would look like a small black tile(similar to the one we have on remotes), on the side of the mobile. And ofcourse u can find IR as option in connectivity menu on the mobile.

I dont know where i dumped my N6600. If I manage to find it i will post snaps of the mobile, IR port and the remote software.

Earlier i had Nokia 6600 which had IR. I used a software called PSiloc IR Remote and was using my N6600 as universal remote.
