TataSky updates new software on Thomson STB

Yes, you can. Follow this trick:

When your STB is on, close it from the mains without switching off from remote. After some time switch on STB from mains and when 'please wait initializing' comes on screen, press back button twice and then press 2465. Software will start downloading. :tup

yes, try to Factory Reset And Restart box
1) Turn the main switch off.
2) Then turn it on.
3) Press Guide, select, channel up and channel down buttons on STB simultaneously and dont release them. (you should be fast, you should do it within 2-3 seconds after step-2)
Then you will get a message on TV screen About Restarting ....

till now i didnt rcd any software update in my thompson box.:'(

please mention your software version and release date.

once i go home i will let you know.

by the way how to check in stb the software version and release date??

organizer> system setting> system detail then you can see a page. There are information about it.

@Sbhopale yes bro same release and this is for the thomson make. They are doing it one by one(make) i think.

yes ... you are correct... update is released in phased manner... they release update based on stb make also....
