Its for the kind information of all satellite trackers that there are two zonal beams of Thaicom 5 :

1. Global beam : needs 210 cm c band dish

2. Regional beam : needs 170 cm c band dish

I am currently using 180 cm c band dish from universal.
I am getting around 89 percent signal of regional beam, while the channels specified under global beam is detected by my solid hd s2 2100 receiver , but shows weak signal intensity and quality, and sometimes i am also getting "No Signal" for the transponder.

For details of channels specified under both Global and Regional beam

I am receiving both c band global and regional beam channels on 180cm (6ft) dish.... Although signal levels for the global beam channels are low (sig quality around : 30% - 40%) on a 6ft dish but one can watch the channels without any glitch....

general dish size for regional beam : 170 cm

general dish size for global beam : 210 cm

as shown in the footprint map above in the first post, but still 180 cm dish is capable of receiving the global beam....

Tip :
use 13K low noise c band lnbf.....

the main point is use 13K low noise c band lnbf right biswajit.hd ji
