I cant understand that- if dishtv will merge with airtel dth then why they are investing money on new platform. Is that mean that airtel dishtv merger will cancel ? or it is turning to a new way !!!

Even after merger they may retain the brand identity. Merger means just business and balance sheet merger and not retail operations as happened in DishTv- Videocon d2h merger case. Though merged, both the operators are still maintaing their own customer base, own packs, own websites, own CC numbers, own software and Hardware(likeSTB, Dish,LNB).
There is nothing to be excited about DishTV Airtel merger.

This Box was planned before the merger...and with in few months we may see hybrid STB from them.

There are 2/3 variants of STBs for each operator. Do you think it is possible to replace all with one common STB in near future? It is not only a cumbersome affair but also involves high costs for the operators.

Will b added at same time on all 3 brands

Just wanted to show you guys the next DishTV set-top box, the Dish SMRT Hub.
It runs on Android TV 8.0 (certified by Google) and has an Amlogic S805X processor (1080p).

I guess it will soon be official.
