MUMBAI: Times Network, the television business of the Times Group, has announced strategic restructuring of its ad sales division. In the new order, Hemant Arora will head the ad sales of news channels and Gaurav Dhawan will look after the English entertainment cluster.
The company has elevated Arora, earlier head of branded content, to sales head for Times Now and ET Now. Arora has over 17 years of experience in media sales, including print, internet, and television. He began his career at the Times of India in 1997.
Dhawan, meanwhile, has been given charge of sales for the network’s English entertainment channels, Movies Now and Romedy Now. He has over 17 years of experience in managing ad revenue-driven business across television, print, and web.
Among other changes, Hersh Bhandari will be national head of ad sales for Times Now. Bhandari’s mandate will be to build on the leadership position.
“I expect Hersh to restore the true premium value that the lead English news platform deserves,” said Times Network MD & CEO MK Anand. Shilpa Shetty will take the role of national ad sales head for ET Now.
According to a company statement, she has been instrumental in increasing the revenue of the channel by a phenomenal ratio. She is also the first woman to rise to the position of sales head from within Times Network.
Jogajyoti Pati will take over as national head of ad sales India 2 for Times Network. He was earlier North head of ET Now. Prior to this, he was at Zee Media Corp for a decade.
