One of Tom Cruise's dreams is about to come true. The actor, who has always expressed a keen desire to visit the Taj Mahal, will get to see the historic monument for the first time this week when he comes here to promote his next release, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.

Says a source, "Initially, Tom was on a very tight schedule that didn't permit a visit to the Taj. But as he has always expressed a desire to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra, the studio that is distributing and marketing Tom's film and hosting him in India is arranging a visit to the monument. Tom's wife Katie and daughter Suri won't be coming with him. Instead, he will be joined in Agra by other members of the cast, including his leading lady Paula Patton, Anil Kapoor and representatives from the company. He will fly to Delhi early in the morning, take a chartered flight to Agra and land in Mumbai in the afternoon. The studio plans to host a cocktails-and-dinner do during his visit to Mumbai. Tom will fly out from India on December 4 or 5 after his film promotions are done with."

Says Vikram Malhotra from the studio, "Tom Cruise's management expressed his desire to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra as he's keen to see this wonder of the world, despite his tight schedule. We are working towards fitting the Agra visit into his itinerary."
