Bandwidth depends on symbol rate. High symbol rate means high bandwidth. For SR = 30000, you can get bandwidth around 60 Mbps. This is for DVB-S2 transponders.. It will be lower for DVB-S transponders.

No. of channels will depend on how much bandwidth alloted per channel. If you allot 1 Mbps per channel, you can transmit 60 channels.
