Incase of Multi TV too formal policy guidelines should be brought, broadcasters should offer discount on bouquet for secondary connections. Earlier we were even confused how operators r charging full amount without providing all channels from bouquet but instead of working on a discount model for missing channels, pending channels are being added now.

Do you think Broadcasters and TRAI did not discuss before bringing these regulation ? Consultation on Tariff order was going on from 2015, draft order came in 2016, final order came in 2017 and then a year long case in first HC and then SC. Finally in 2019 order came into force.

Regarding discount, you cannot force a manufacturer to give mandatory discount by law. It's his product so he should have the right to price whatever he wants for that product, and as a consumer you have the right to choose or deny the product at that price.

In TV18 HD Hindi value pack there's missing FYI18 HD simply because HD version is not available on TS.
In such scenario, TRAI clearly says that service provider (TS in this case) can't modify the broadcaster's package on its own. But clearly this is violation of the above rule in this case....... Also no clarity on when FYI18HD will be added on TS....forget the discount. It's 0.30 to add FYI18 SD ala carte so doesn't matter much but in principle..it's wrong!

I believe and hope so but that lies in future. The point is.... as per TRAI they can't modify broadcaster's bouquet... What's wrong is wrong even if u intend to make it right in near future. Also there's no official confirmation on this matter despite my following them for it time and again...which makes it worse.

Some channels like Zee Cinema, &Pictures starting simulcasting SD stuff on HD feed to comply with this situation itself.

Have they officially announced it?

Update:
I got call from Tatasky for my escalation to their CEO regarding Turner FamilyHD pack.

They confirmed me that the pack will be available for subscription from tomorrow onwards.
