I have been using this remote recording functionality since 2021. I never connected my +HD STB to the internet.

What will you do by connecting it to the internet when all the internet related functionality are removed? Anyways, you can connect it to the internet via the wifi dongle that Tata Sky used to provide, if unavailable then you can try LAN (ethernet) connection. I don't think it will give any good outcome though!

Standby mode also is okay. Just dont turn off from mains.
