TV channels to show countdown clock to commercial break end

TV channels are showing countdown clock a few minutes before the commercial break end. Just saw this on channels like Sony Mix, Movies OK, Dangal and Enterr10. I am not sure if a rule like this has been put in place for the channels.

This is a good thing and also it reminds me of the traffic signals showing reverse count for the signal to go green

Its good that now hindi entertainment channels are following this.
I think earlier some English movie channels were doing this.....
