what is the use of Ethernet port in set top box?

To enable internet over satellite in future.

Example: IPTV through satellite.

Excellent snaps also please attach some snaps of the UI OF THE BOX

This new STB doesn't have an Ethernet port, look in the pic. 2222 had one, 555 doesn't have. Its only a cover of plastic.

Also I heard 555-B white one is launched same features, what the differences ???

I have a HD555-B STB. Picture and Audio Quality good.
Compared the RDTV the STB software is very basic. Just like the cheap FTA STB firmware (I think it is a modified version of the FTA STB firmware).

STB is very slow to respond. If I do a channel jump to the previous channel with the remote it takes 12 seconds to change. I timed it with a stop watch. Normal channel change (channel up / down) takes 8 seconds. I think I need to update the firmware.

How do I do a forced OTA firmware download and update

Any suggestions

Does anyone else have the same problem
