No. Both old and new variants of Airtel XStream Android/Smart boxes r equally good but i feel older variant has slight edge over the new variant as far as overall user experience is concerned ....having said that new variant has certain plus points too so its okay if u get either of it but i myself would opt for older variant if given a choice
