Vaalu starring Akhil and Saranya (seen in Kaadhal as Sandhya's friend) in the lead directed by Desika has been re-titled as 'Retta Vaalu' following the Producers' Counci's request to cooperate since Simbu-Haniska starrer, a relatively bigger film also had the same title.
Choosing an apt title for a film is a tedious job and once you find one, controversies that arise with rights of the title with someone else who has already registered is a pain. Director Desika tells that the title ' Vaalu' was an apt title for the film since the hero is an extremely naughty person in the film. Now the new title ' Retta Vaalu', the director seems to be content as well since both the lead characters are mischievous in the film.
