Viacom has announced that it is refreshing its international music channel, Vh1. The redefined Vh1 affirms the channel’s position as India’s go-to destination for not only international music but music, entertainment and pop culture. The channel will for the first time bring engaging original programming like “Vh1 Inside access with Miss Malini” and “Vh1 India Diaries”.  The revamped channel will be introduced on November 19, 2016 with live streaming of performances by  Demi Lovato, Coldplay and Jay-Z from the Global Citizen Festival 2016 to be held in Mumbai.

Commenting on the All New Vh1, Ferzad Palia, Business Head, English and Youth Entertainment, Viacom18 said, “Vh1 India represents the changing entertainment preferences of the millennials. It is to cater to these evolving preferences that the channel has refreshed its content and visual experience. Our endeavour is to now make the channel more inclusive by introducing original content and socially integrated shows into the mix. We are sure that the all new Vh1 will reinforce our authority on International music and pop culture.”

Speaking about going live with Global Citizen he further added, “There could not have been a bigger, more entertaining and relevant platform than Global Citizen Festival to showcase the brand new and refreshed Vh1.”

Viacom18’s Vh1, the International Music Channel, is all in for a refurbishment of its content. Original programming such as “Vh1 Inside access with Miss Malini” and “Vh1 India Diaries” will be available. On November 19, viewers will be served with the brand new Vh1 experience with the forthcoming of the Global Citizen Festival 2016, which will feature Demi Lovato, Coldplay and Jay-Z live.

The new content offering will have a new prime time line up with differentiated long form content which will be introduced with shows like The Fabulous Life, Lip Sync Battle, Catfish among, others. ‘Entertainment Tonight’ will serve the viewers with the most recent happenings in the pop culture and entertainment world. With the new-fangled Music Blocks, audience will have access to Vh1 Secret Stash where they will be offered with playlists like Vh1 Stomp and Vh1 Mint.
