One thing is for sure now, that most of the channels are going to be FTA paying high carriage fee. Which in return will recover the amount of new transponders.
 
If the channels are not added on 1st January, then I guess they will stretch to add these channels over next 3-4 months since they have already taken nearly 3 months to add 8-10 channels on the new tp.

Are You Sure They Have Added Only 8-10 channels on new tp?
They Had Added 18 Channels since New TP was activated

But majority of those channels are removed from the active service and added on this tp. I was talking about new channel additions only.
