Movies Ok until now aired films which were 5 years or more older but from Jan 2020 it has changed strategy thus bringing in latest movies too which were restricted previously to Star Gold. This shift resonates with their plan to rebrand Movies Ok, premieres will follow suit. UTV Movies has taken role of filing in space left by Movies Ok and it airs all the 80s, 90s, 2000s stuff. I think Star Utsav Movies will eventually be turned into classic movie channel. Not sure what holds in future for Star Gold Select, maybe they will keep it to compete with And Xplor and later shut it to launch other channels. If Disney wants my advice then i strongly suggest launching a kids/family hindi/english movie channel as these films get huge viewership as evident in BARC English Movies Data and rich potential in Hindi segment still remains untapped on TV.
Not happy with Star World Premiere shutting down, hope that FX or ABC is brought to India. Star Movies Select, Star Sports 3 HD is again leaving me sad bcoz it adds no great variety to existing bouquet rather duplication of content is least required in case of these 2 channels.
What's up with Bindass, Marvel HQ? Disney/Star please use ur brilliant hindi entertainment (comedy /youth shows) and Disney Cartoon / Live Action shows to spruce up these channels. Recent Ducktales reboot is major hit on YouTube channel of Disney India, there is huge audience for old shows but it needs proper plan to succeed on linear platform and not like Toonami which wasted opportunity
