The much expected teaser of Ilayathalapathy VIjay's upcoming film 'Theri' is shattering all the records created by Kollywood biggies.
Yesterday we had reported that the 51 seconds long teaser of the Atlee directed flick has smashed the record of the teaser of Ajith's recent blockbuster 'Vedalam' in the number of likes acquired within hours of release. Within 10 hours the 'Theri' teaser had crossed 1,20,000 likes when compared to 70,000 for 'Vedalam'. Note this is only about the likes and not views.
Now comes the records shattered by indomitable VIjay's star power in the number of views for 'Theri' teaser. Within 33 hours after release the number of views for 'Theri' teaser has crossed the a whopping 3 million (30 lakhs) count. The number of likes is also getting close to 1,80,000 which is said to be an all time record for a Tamil film teaser beating the earlier records set by 'Vedalam' and director Shankar's Vikram starrer 'I'.
'Theri' stars Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson in lead roles and the film has been produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu. The film is expected to hit the screens on April 14, 2016.
Now the focus has been fully shifted to next update from the 'Theri' team about when the trailer of the film will be released.

'Theri' teaser: Video of Vijay starrer crosses 5 million hits
The teaser of Vijay's forthcoming movie "Theri" has taken the Kollywood audience by storm. In less than four days, the video crossed the 5-million mark on YouTube.
After postponing a few times, the makers finally released the teaser of "Theri" on 5 February at 12 am. In less than 12 hours, the movie garnered over a million hits and had given hints of becoming one of the highly-successful teasers of Kollywood in the recent years.
The highlight of the success is that "Theri" has become the most-liked Tamil teaser by garnering over 2 lakh likes for the official video on YouTube. It broke the record of Ajith's "Vedalam," which had got 1.4 likes for its teaser.
As per the makers, "Theri" is the first Indian movie to cross 2 lakh likes on YouTube. The Twitter account of the production house posted, "#Theri becomes the first ever Indian Movie to cross 200k Likes in @YouTube. Thank a lot for your awesome response @actorvijay."
The 50-second teaser of "Theri" shows Vijay in multiple avatars. Without revealing much about the storyline, the video impresses the audience with its power-packed sequences.
While Atlee Kumar has directed "Theri," Kalaipuli S Dhanu has produced the film, which has Samantha and Amy Jackson in the female lead roles.
