Zee TV to launch new show ‘Woh Apna Sa’ on 23 Jan
MUMBAI: Hindi GEC Zee TV is set to launch a new show titled ‘Woh Apna Sa’ on 23 January at 10 pm.
‘Woh Apna Sa’ is produced by Siddharth Malhotra under his banner, Alchemy films.
Written by Raghuveer Shekhawa, the show marks the comeback of actors Sudeep Sahir, Disha Parmar and Ridhi Dogra Vashisth on television.
The channel has released the promo of the series. The show is said to be based on the Bollywood film ‘We Are Family’, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol and Arjun Rampal, which in turn was an adaptation of the famous Hollywood film ‘Stepmom’.
The show will replace ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’, which was produced by Trishulla Productions and stars Sonal Vengurlekar and Zain Imam in lead roles.

Zee TV is set to launch the new fiction show ‘Woh Apna Sa’ starting from 23rd January in its 10:00 PM time band. ‘Woh Apna Sa’ is the story of a stepmom has to encounter and deal with her fiancé’s children and ex-wife.
The show is based on the Bollywood film, ‘We Are Family’ that starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol and Arjun Rampal. In fact, the film was an adaptation of the famous Hollywood film Stepmom.
The show is produced by Alchemy Films Pvt Ltd, which is owned by Producer and Director Siddharth Malhotra, who directed the film We Are Family for Karan Johar. It seems Siddharth is re-creating his own film in to a TV serial now. He is son of actor Prem Kishen and till now was associated with his family company Cinevista. He recently branched off as a producer with his wife Sapna.
The story of the show is written by Mr. Raghuveer Shekhawat which is popular for his work in Diya Aur Bati Hum serial.
Disha Parmar, who essayed the role of Pankhuri on ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara‘ is making a comeback to TV after three years . She will now be seen playing a second wife in ‘Woh Apna Sa’. Along with her, the show also has Ridhi Dogra, who is also making a comeback to TV after three years and Nakuul Mehta will be playing the male lead role of the show.
