MUMBAI: Zee Action is set to premiere ‘Teen Patti’ on Saturday, 24 October at 8 pm. The 2010 film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Oscar award winning actor Sir Ben Kingsley, R Madhavan and marks the debut of Shraddha Kapoor. An action thriller, ‘Teen Patti’ revolves around the central theme about gambling and the various risks that we take in our lives and their repercussions. Directed by Leena Yadav, the film narrates the story of Venkat Subhramaniam (Bachchan), an Indian professor of mathematics and a reclusive genius who meets Perci Trachtenberg (Kingsley) who is widely regarded as the world’s greatest living mathematician, at a high rolling casino in London. Venkat has cracked a theory that could redefine the principles of probability and randomness. He talks with a younger professor Shantanu (Madhavan) about his theory and tells him to get three students to try out this experiment in a card game called Teen Patti. Shantanu arranges three students, a college rockstar Sid (Siddharth Kher), a studious geek Aparna (Shraddha Kapoor) and a boy next door Vikku (Dhruv Ganesh). But what starts out as an experiment between Shantanu and an eccentric Venkat soon descends into a game neither of them can control. The movie also features cameo performances by Jackie Shroff, Ajay Devgn, Tinnu Anand and Shakti Kapoor.
