Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), the television media and entertainment company, has revealed about the launch of Zee Bangla HD this month on the 20th.

The new channel is a Bengali general entertainment channel and it is the second high-definition (HD) channel of ZEEL in the regional space. Prior to this launch, Zee Talkies HD was introduced in October. this channel is a Marathi channel offering movies.

ZEEL had signed several deals with direct-to-home platforms such as Airtel Digital TV, Dish TV, Videocon d2h and Tata Sky for Zee Talkies HD. Furthermore, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting gave the green light to ZEEL for the launch of Zee Marathi HD, Zee Talkies HD, Zee Bangla HD and Zee Bangla Cinema HD.
