I thought Zee Smile was rebranded to Zee Anmol.
No. TBH, Zee is a big mess. They bought 9x and put it on DDFD as a rerun channel when they had Zee smile which itself was a garbage channel. It never ran any promo on the channel.

When they had these 2 they separately launched Zee Anmol and they launched it big with ads and stuff.

Same goes with BIG brand, They could've easily launched a bhojpuri GEC and already had a FTA channel. Not much benefit for TV Business with that acquisition. Only 10% in radio they got.

Indeed, 'Zony' will now have to completely overhaul the whole broadcast system they run, there are too many redundant channels with multiple brands all showing similar programming. Hopefully they get their stuff together and get out of this professionally and successfully.

Sony doesn't have much. In fact they shut down many good channels such as MIX ROX LE PLEX. That doesn't go with ZEE. They have so many channels which needs a revamp or rebrand or a shutdown. E.g &TV, Zing, Big Magic, Zee Action.

But since puneet goenka will be CEO of merged entity. Such changes are less probable

In this analyst presentation of December 2021, they have mentioned SPNI will be renamed.

There is a different version of Zee Smile in the US. The Indian one shut down but the US one is still there.

Where does this channel exist in the US?

In May 2021, all Zee channels were abruptly pulled from Dish Network and Sling TV, Dish Network's live TV streaming service. Zee channels were available on Dish Network since 1998, and on Sling TV since it launched in 2015. More than 30 Zee channels were available on those platforms. Only Zee TV is still available on cable platforms in select areas.

In June 2021, they launched ZEE5 in the US. Currently, they're running a promotion and it's available for $49.99 for one year (~₹3,700).
