Fortune India 500 list of 'India's Largest Corporations' (released in a special issue dated December 2016). ZEE ranks at #202, a rise of 24 places from #226 in 2015, with a 20.60% revenue growth and 5.03% profit growth.
The Fortune India 500 list ranks companies by their latest annual audited total income, for the financial year ending on or before June 30, 2016. In keeping with accepted norms in India, total income includes core operating income [net sales] plus other and extraordinary income.
Other notable media companies on the list include Network 18 Media & Investments (#306), Dish TV India (#333), Sun TV Network (#345), HT Media (#377), Jagran Prakashan (#423) and DB Corp (#446), among others
