Dish TV India has announced plans to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on March 21, 2024. The meeting aims to appoint new directors to the company’s board and is going to be conducted via video conferencing or other audio-visual means.
In a notice to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Dish TV India reaffirmed its commitment to facilitate shareholder participation in the decision-making process The company will provide shareholders with electronic voting options, allowing them to remotely cast their votes on all the matters proposed at the EGM. This facility will be made available through both remote e-voting and e-voting during the meeting, administered by the National Securities Depositories Ltd (NSDL).
The remote e-voting period will begin on Monday, March 18, 2024, and run through Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Shareholders holding company shares as of the designated cutoff date, March 15, 2024, will be eligible to utilize the remote e-voting facility, as well as the e-voting option during the EGM.
Key agenda item for shareholder approval in this EGM is the appointment of directors to the company’s board. Dish TV India seeks approval for the appointment of Mr. Sunil Khanna as an Independent Director, Mr. Ravi Bhushan Puri as a Director and as Whole Time Director, and Ms. Sonal Bankim Parekh as an Independent Director.
