DTH Performance Report for June 2024

It’s time to analyze the performance of Direct-to-home (DTH) operators for the month of June 2024. Starting with Tata Play which came up with the addition of 3 channels, followed by Airtel Digital TV with 3 new channels. Both Dish TV and Sun Direct added 1 new channel each while DD Free Dish removed 1 channel and replaced it with none.

Tata Play

The additions made by Tata Play on their platform include Sun Neo, Sun Neo HD, and Tata Play Anime Local (Service Channel). In June month, Tata Play removed WPN World Punjabi channel from their platform.

Tata Play is now being irregular in terms of providing Jingalala offers to its subscribers. Other than Jingalala offers, Tata Play has launched Tamil Thalaiva Annual HD Pack Recharge offer of 30 days for inactive subscribers. Tata Play has also launched Tamil Thalaiva Full HD With 22 HD At just Rs. 1,760. After this, Tata Play has added a new “Pause All Boxes” option in the Manage Packs section.

Airtel Digital TV

Airtel Digital TV has made 3 new channels available on their platform namely Bflix Movies, Sun Neo, and News Malayalam 24×7 while removing TV 27 News, Naaptol, India News Uttar Pradesh Uttarakhand, and India News Gujarat from their platform.

The count of removal of channels is more than the addition of channels. There was no Super Sunday sale provided by Airtel Digital TV for the whole June month.

Dish TV and D2H

Dish TV added All Time Movies on its platform. D2H didn’t add nor remove any channels from its lineup during June month. Other than addition and removal of channels Both Dish TV and D2H launched a new SD to HD pack upgrade offer.

Sun Direct

Sun Direct has added Thanthi One channel to their platform. During June month, Sun Direct did not remove any single channel from its platform.

DD Free Dish

The state-owned, Free-to-air satellite television provider DD Free Dish removed Popular TV from its platform. There were no channel additions made by DD Free Dish for the whole month.
