It’s time to analyze the performance of Direct-to-Home (DTH) operators for October 2024. Starting with Dish TV, the operator added 3 new channels and equally removed 3 channels. Tata Play and Airtel Digital TV each introduced 2 new channels but also removed 2 channels from their platforms. Sun Direct added 2 new channels and did not remove any channels. D2H added 1 new channel but removed 2 channels, while DD Free Dish removed 1 channel and did not add any new channels.
Tata Play
The additions made by Tata Play on their platform include TV100 and Tata Play Marathi Classics (Service Channel). Tata Play removed NKTV Bangla and News Hour from its lineup. In October 2024, Tata Play provided both Jingalala Afternoon and Saturdays Offer. Besides Jingalala offers, Tata Play launched 5 new packs on its platform and also added 4 new channels on Tata Play mobile app.
Airtel Digital TV
Airtel Digital TV has made 2 new channels available namely NDTV Marathi and DNN and removed TV5 Kannada and Goldmines Movies from its platform. Airtel Digital TV introduced Rs 3000 cashback offer for new customers and also launched new offer for inactive customers. There was no Super Sunday offer provided by Airtel Digital TV for the whole October month.
Dish TV and D2H
Dish TV added NDTV Marathi, NDTV MP CG, and NDTV Rajasthan while removing Goldmines Bollywood, Thriller Active (Service Channel), and Women’s Active (Service Channel). D2H, on the other hand, added only Sports18-3 and removed Thriller Active (Service Channel), and Women’s Active (Service Channel) from its platform.
In October month, both Dish TV and D2H launched TVKey Cloud with Samsung & Nagravision. Dish TV and D2H provided Diwali offer where subscribers can get assured gifts and also launched “South Globe” pack for south users. Dish TV and D2H launched much-awaited Smart+ Android 4K box too.
Sun Direct
Sun Direct added Nazara and Colors Cineplex Superhits and did not remove any channel in October month. Other than channel addition and removal, Sun Direct officially launched Sun Direct Go with 8 OTT plans starting from Rs 99 per month.
DD Free Dish
The state-owned, Free-to-air satellite television provider DD Free Dish removed Popular TV from its platform. There were no channel additions made by DD Free Dish in October month.
