JioStar has announced the release of its first Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO) as a combined entity on January 4th, 2025 following the merger of Disney Star and Viacom18. This new RIO outlines the pricing details for various channels and bouquets, effective from February 1st, 2025.
JioStar’s RIO has announced a price adjustment affecting a total of 44 channels, which include both Star and Colors brands. It’s important to highlight that channels priced above Rs 19 will not be available in any of the channel bouquets.

JioStar has launched an extensive range of 83 channel packs, which collectively offer a total of 134 channels. This includes 85 standard definition (SD) channels, 44 high definition (HD) channels, and 5 free-to-air (FTA) options. Among the offerings, there are 19 news channels provided by Network18. Additionally, the channel bouquets are available in various regional languages, including Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
As part of the recent price adjustments affecting 44 channels, JioStar’s RIO indicates that Bindass, Colors Odia, Star Life, Star Life HD, and Star Kiran HD will no longer be available. This shift reflects the evolving offerings in the new RIO package. Earlier, Star Life was known as FOX Life which was the last channel to carry FOX brand under Disney Star (now JioStar).
