Star India to withdraw ‘Tyohar ka Upahar’ promotional offer

The promotional offer was effective since October 11, 2019 and is valid until January 8, 2020.

Star India is set to withdraw its ‘Tyohar ka Upahar’ promotional offer on January 9, 2020. The promotional offer was effective since October 11, 2019 and is valid until January 8, 2020. From January 9, 2020, the maximum retail price of the 16 a-la-carte channels will be restored. The news was first spotted by our community member Sarfaraz.

Below is the list of channels along with the current festive offer price and the price effective from January 9, 2020.

Star Plus, Maa TV, Star Jalsha, and Asianet were available at a festive offer price of Rs. 12 each, but after the end of the promotional offer, the same channels will cost Rs. 19. Vijay Movies is available at a festive offer price of Rs. 12, but after the end of the promotional offer, it will cost Rs. 17.

Asianet Movies is available at a festive offer price of Rs. 12. But after the end of the promotional offer period, it will cost Rs. 15. Star Sports 1 Marathi is available at a festive offer price of Rs. 12, but after the end of the promotional offer, it will cost Rs. 17.

Star Sports 2 is available at a festive offer price of Rs. 5, but after the end of the promotional offer period, it will cost Rs. 6. Hungama TV is available at a festive offer price of Rs. 1, but after the end of the promotional offer, it will cost Rs. 6.

National Geographic, Star Sports 3, Vijay Super, Nat Geo Tamil, and Nat Geo Telugu are available at a festive offer price of Re. 1 each, but after the end of the promotional offer, the same channels will cost Rs. 2.

Nat Geo Wild and Star Sports First are available at a festive offer price of Re. 0.1, but after the end of the promotional offer, the same channels will cost Re. 1.

On October 11, 2019, Star India had announced Tyohar ka Upahar, a limited promotional offer for 16 a-la-carte channels, including popular channels like Star Plus, Maa TV, Star Jalsha, Vijay, Asianet, and Hungama TV. Under this limited promotional offer, Star India is offering a-la-carte channels at a discounted price or Festive Offer Price.
