Sun TV Network Limited yesterday announced the consolidated financial results for the quarter ending December 30, 2020. Sun TV’s total income rose to Rs 1,034.44 crores, up from Rs 807.67 crores at Q2 FY 21 end. The revenues went up 19 percent at Rs 972.34 crores as against Rs 814.97 crores for the corresponding quarter ended December 31, 2020.
The expenses for Q3 FY 21 stood at Rs 441.82 crores, up from Rs 346.93 crores at Q2 FY 21 end. The subscription revenues for the quarter stood at Rs 424.05 crores whereas EBIDTA stood at Rs 600.68 crores. The profit before taxes stood at Rs 592.62 crores at Q3 FY 21 end while profit after taxes stood at Rs 441.82 crores.
Sun TV Network also declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share (100 percent) on a face value of Rs 5 per share.
“The results for the nine months ended December 31. 2020 includes income from the Company”s IPL franchise “Sun Risers Hyderabad” for season 2020 of Rs.254.48 crores (Nine months ended December 31, 2019 for season 2019 (Partial) of Rs. 244.44 crores) and corresponding costs of (Rs.161.54 crores) (Nine months ended December 31. 2019 for season 2019 (partial) of Rs. 138.46 crores),” added Sun TV Network in a regulatory filing.
