DTH service provider Tata Play has started offering its OTT entertainment app, Tata Play Binge, to all smartphone users, without the requirement of a DTH subscription. For the unaware, the Tata Play Binge app aggregates content from across 17 OTT platforms in the country and offers in a single app. Users can play games or watch movies, TV shows, original web series, and live sports under a single app.
“Content from across 17 OTT providers + Gaming is available today to all subscribers, accessible through a unified interface at a single subscription package starting at INR59 a month. Tata Play Binge makes entertainment easy for consumers while increasing the subscription footprint for our OTT partners,” said Harit Nagpal, MD & CEO of Tata Play.
Tata Play Binge subscription starts at Rs. 59 per month. It offers content from 12 languages across popular OTT platforms, including Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Voot Select, Sony Liv, MX Player, hoichoi, Namma flix, Chaupal, Planet Marathi, Sun NXT, Voot Kids, Eros Now, Hungama Play, ShemarooMe, EPICON, DocuBay, and Curiosity Stream. However, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix plans are only available for Tata Play DTH subscribers.
A single Tata Play Binge subscription lets watch content on up to two devices simultaneously. It features universal search functionality, language preferences and allows users to create their own Binge watch list. Tata Play Binge app is available for Android and iOS users via the Play Store and Apple App store. Users can also access it on the web by visiting tataplaybinge.com.
According to the company, Tata Play Binge will soon aggregate content from 25 OTT apps since eight more apps, including Apple TV+, Lionsgate Play, Travelxp, ShortsTV, Reeldrama, Manorama Max, Tarang Plus, and Koode, will get added in the coming months.
