Tata Play onboards Investigation Discovery HD on LCN 155

Direct-to-home (DTH) operator Tata Play has finally added Investigation Discovery HD to its platform on 20th February 2024. This addition was long overdue and subscribers were eagerly waiting for this HD channel as its SD channel was already added.

In order to accommodate this HD channel, Tata Play has changed the LCN of Investigation Discovery SD from 155 to 156 and added Investigation Discovery HD on LCN 155 which was an expected thing as Tata Play always adds an HD channel before SD channel to maintain the sequence. Investigation Discovery HD is also available on Airtel Digital TV and Sun Direct platforms on LCN 136 and LCN 879 respectively.

Investigation Discovery was launched in 2014 by Warner Bros. Discovery and was rebranded to Discovery Jeet in 2018 and HD feed was also launched on the same day. In 2019, Discovery Jeet was rebranded to Jeet Prime. Jeet Prime was rebranded back to Investigation Discovery in 2020.

Tata Play subscribers can also access Investigation Discovery HD on the Tata Play mobile app. It was one of the most demanded channels of all time and with this surprise addition, Tata Play now holds a total of 105 HD channels and 575 SD channels leaving all the competitors behind in the race which made this possible only because of resolute steps taken especially after getting entire capacity of the GSAT-24 satellite.
