The popularity of South Indian movies is growing rapidly and South Movies are also reporting huge success in Hindi-speaking markets as well. DTH Operator Tata Play (formerly Tata Sky) has launched a new value-added service called ‘Tata Play South Talkies’ to bring South India Movies to its customers.
The platform service channel on Friday, August 5, 2022, will air Hindi dubs of popular Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. It is launched in partnership with JOP Network and will be available on channel number 350 for Rs 2 per day or Rs 60 per month.
Tata Play South Talkies will present 2 World Television Premieres each month and overall 7-8 movies will air daily without any ads. High-rated films of top South Indian stars like Trance, Manam, Googly, Masters and Yaradi Nee Mohini and several others will be a part of this extensive library.
The channel will have exclusive titles which will be available on Indian television in Hindi for the first time. The content of Tata Play South Talkies can be watched anytime on the go using the Tata Play mobile app as Catch-up and VOD (Video-On-Demand).
“Today, with pan-Indian films becoming all pervasive, we realized that there is a treasure house of South Indian films that are waiting to be taken to a wider audience base. The evolving taste and sensibilities of audiences have given us another avenue to entertain them by way of Tata Play South Talkies,” said Tata Play’s Chief Commercial and Content Officer, Pallavi Puri.
