Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has partnered with Shemaroo Entertainment Limited to provide content from ShemarooMe on Tata Sky Binge Fire TV stick and Tata Sky Binge Plus set-top box.
Tata Sky will provide access to ShemarooMe’s over 3700 titles, across multiple genres and languages including classic Bollywood, regional videos, original shows, and premieres under Binge subscription plan of Rs 249 per month. After updating the ‘Binge’ app, ShemarooMe will appear in the apps section, separate installation of ShemarooMe app is not needed.
With this addition now Tata Sky is providing premium content for 6 OTT platforms – Hotstar, Eros Now, Hungama Play, SunNXT, ZEE5 and ShemarooMe under single subscription of Binge. However, both Tata Sky Binge Fire TV stick and Binge+ STB still don’t have Netflix.
In other news, Tata Sky has updated its WhatsApp Service and grouped commands in different categories for easier discoverability. The operator has also added ‘Get Connection’ and ‘New Buy’ options to order a new connection, multi TV connection or upgrade set-top box.
