Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky is launching a new platform service channel named ‘Tata Sky Hits’ tomorrow. The service channel priced at Rs 2.5 per day or Rs 75 per month will cater best Hollywood series, British comedies and other worldwide bestsellers ever made for television.
Similar to other platform service channels this will also be an ad-free service channel. As a launch offer, all subscribers will get it for free for the first 10 days. It will be added on channel number 200 in the English Entertainment genre.
Tata Sky Hits will air content from the 80s and 90s which includes multiple award-winning and yesteryear series to bring back the best stories and iconic characters. The DTH operator claims that the content of this channel will not be available on any other TV channel or OTT platform.
On bringing back some of Television’s classic shows to its subscribers Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial and Content officer, Tata Sky, said, “At Tata Sky we are always looking at serving the discerning content needs of our subscribers. With Tata Sky Hits we are giving our subscribers an exclusive platform to indulge in their favourite Hollywood shows from the 80s and 90s. The diverse assortment of English shows from the good old days that Hits has curated is exceptional and fulfils a need gap for our evolving viewers who are constantly looking for unique entertainment destinations that are not available elsewhere be it TV or OTT.”

The new service channel will be a curated destination for all the greatest international TV series from the past three decades that Indian audiences grew up with and loved to watch. Some of the titles which will be available on this new channel are Baywatch, Three’s Company, Small Wonder, Charlie’s Angel, The Lucy Show, Law & Order, and Knight Order.
