It's a Vidhu Vinod Chopra production hence most of his movies r acquired by sony itself since more than a decade. Sanju was an exception and Star must have paid hefty amount for it. Unlike Sony-YRF or Star India's exclusive deal with Ajay Devgn / earlier arrangement with Salman, this is not a exclusive partnership but just based on good relations.

Right now Sony has output deal for all movies produced by T-Series apart from south indian stuff they focus mostly upon. Just to be clear, movies produced and distributed r different things hence looked into separately while interpreting agreements.

This movie is the first Sonam Kapoor starrer to go to Sony (other than Bewakoofiyan which was a YRF movie). Her films originally used to be taken by Star (such as Aisha, I Hate Luv Storys, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, PRDP and Neerja) but Zee stepped in later (e.g., Padman and Veere di Wedding). Of course Sanju is with Star but she has a very minor role there.

World television premières of Uri and Simmba coming soon on Zee Cinema SD/HD. Zee continues to extend its stranglehold on Hindi satellite rights.

As another member has noted recently, Zee Cinema's tagline has changed from Movies.Masti.Magic to Seene Mein Cinema.

Don't believe in coming soon from Zee Networks. They took 6 months to premier Bose on Zee Bangla. 2.0 is being showing coming soon since January. The movie is gonna premier this month.

WTP of Love Sonia on 27 April, Saturday, 9pm on Star Gold Select SD/HD. A powerful, hard-hitting film about s#x trafficking.

It is very clear that SGS will hereafter premiere only those movies which are shown at film festivals. It will not show movies like Badhaai Ho which are well-received by the audience but are also well-known to the public. Therefore SGS has become a channel only for arthouse cinema (as far as new movies are concerned). This is an unfortunate development.
