Zee Cinema and &pictures have the lion's share of premieres nowadays. Star Plus/Gold get a handful like Sanju and Badhaai Ho. Viacom18 gets a couple like Andhadhun and Padmaavat. Don't talk about Sony; it is happy to stick to just YRF for Hindi.

&TV and &Pictures are sister channels of Zee channels.Zee group is their owner.

Zee has two other & channels: &flix (previously Zee Studio) and &privé HD. Like Zee has the & brand, Star similarly has the OK brand but it is not of any significance today, since the main OK channel (Life OK) rebranded to Star Bharat in 2017, and the only OK channel is Movies OK, which is not as important as Zee Cinema or even &pictures.

Star and Sony r into sports business too which is money consuming and still has limited returns hence they limit bugdet on acquiring hindi movies. Sony anycase is right now happy with YRF, T Series, Old Bollywood and Few independent films while Star gets some from Fox and rest from exclusive deals with heroes or individual smaller distributors
