The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) is currently sitting on 16 TV channel license applications for more than a month, as per the Quarterly Performance report issued by the Ministry.
At the end of Q2 2021-22, the Ministry was sitting on 9 TV channel license applications for more than a month whereas other Ministries were sitting on 43 TV channel license applications for more than a month. At the end of 2021 or Q3 2021-22, the Ministry was sitting on 16 TV channel license applications for more than a month whereas other Ministries were sitting on 48 TV channel license applications for more than a month.
In Q3 2021-22, the Ministry received 9 new applications for permission of TV channel license whereas in Q2 2021-22 MIB received 4 new applications for permission of TV channel license.
